INTRODUCTION TO OLYMPIC WEIGHTLIFTING

Sunday 5 November at 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Gilles Ave Weightlifting Gym in Newmarket Auckland

Spend the day with us learning the ins-and-outs of the Olympic weightlifting movements - snatch, clean and jerk. This small cohort will get access to one-on-one attention, theory, and practical application. Join us if you're wanting to learn or refine your snatch, clean, and jerk with high level, focused coaching attention. 

Limited spots available. 

This course will introduce you to the fundamentals of Olympic weightlifting focusing on key movement patterns and walking through the technical aspects of the snatch, clean, and jerk. All strength and experience levels welcome. Our coaches will help you scale the weights and movements for practical applications.

 

Everything you learn in the course you will be able to apply right away at your gym, and you'll receive a takeaway workbook to take the knowledge home with you. 

This course is for you if you're:

  • looking to safely add more technically challenging strength movements to your workouts

  • a coach or personal trainer wanting to offer more variety and value for your clients

  • interested in learning more about Olympic weightlifting

  • wanting a safe and welcoming environment to develop new skills

 

Spots are limited in order to provide focused attention to all students. The course itself is valued at over $1,100 per person but is being offered for only $345. Funds will support one of our coaches who has been selected to go to the Tri-Nations Masters Championship in Japan in February.

 

Early bird pricing of $285 is available for all students who register by Friday 26 October. Two scholarships are also available for students who may find the cost to be a barrier. Please email us for more information elevationweightlifting@gmail.com

Lunch is included, and all students who complete the day and the final assessment will receive a certificate
